Siblings Work in Business (108)
[Why are you with Toxin?]
[How did you become close?]
During the broadcast, fans were curious about how we came to collaborate with Toxin.
“Everyone knows that CEO Park Chang-seok used to be Toxin’s manager, right?”
We started by explaining the CEO’s history with Toxin, then our first collaboration, featuring on Ji Ye-chan’s “Co-Sign.”
And after “DUO” promotions ended, we got the opportunity—through the wish—and that’s how it happened.
“CEO, who are the people with the chick icons in the chat?”
There were many comments with chick icons today.
Eun-ji asked, leaning closer to the screen, and the CEO replied with a highlighted announcement in the chat.
[The chick icon next to a name means they’ve been an E-FAN member for less than 3 days.]
The response was positive.
Many fans found the icon cute and even expressed envy.
And some people, randomly, requested a sick chicken icon, since chicks grow into chickens.
[We’ll take your suggestions into consideration and prepare a cool icon for existing E% members in the next update!]
The E% cheered at the CEO’s announcement.
The quickly changing reactions in the chat were amusing, like a flock of birds.
[The atmosphere of the new music video is very different. Do you have any behind-the-scenes stories from the shoot?]
Behind-the-scenes…
A subtle smile appeared on Eun-ho’s face at a fan’s comment.
[There are some.]
[Definitely lol]
[Tell us!!!]
[We’re curious!]
The chat was filled with requests for stories.
Eun-ho quietly looked at Eun-ji.
Not just Eun-ho, but even the Toxin members were staring at her.
[Ji-ji… what did you do?]
[Ji-ji must have caused some trouble again.]
Eun-ji, who would normally have denied it with a laugh, remained silent.
As Eun-ho stared at her, Eun-ji avoided his gaze, as if she had indeed done something.
It wasn’t anything particularly bad.
The problem was… well, Lee Eun-ji loved music a bit too much.
Despite her tough image, Eun-ji had never touched cigarettes or alcohol while underage.
She had her own principles, something about ‘enjoying the things you can only enjoy at this age’ and ‘not wanting to miss out.’
She kept her promise of not drinking until she became an adult.
Despite her appearance, she was surprisingly well-behaved, except for her tendency to get into fights.
And before the regression, neither of us drank much, so I had never seen Eun-ji drunk.
She didn’t even come home on the days she drank, so I had no idea what she was like when drunk.
That is, until that day.
The last day at the pension, after filming ended.
The moment Eun-ji brought a glass of alcohol to her lips, I quietly put down the beer I was about to drink.
I had a bad feeling.
Eun-ji had a high tolerance for alcohol.
Higher than mine.
After a little more than half a bottle of soju…
“Do we have a guitar?”
Eun-ji, showing no signs of intoxication on her face, suddenly started looking for a guitar, her eyes unfocused.
“A guitar…?”
“We don’t have one?”
As Seo Seung-yeon asked, confused, Eun-ji’s eyes started to well up.
That’s when I knew.
‘Eun-ji’s drunk.’
‘She’s gone.’
‘Eun-ji-nim is cute.’
Her eyes, glistening with tears, as if she was about to burst into tears at any moment if someone said they didn’t have a guitar…
“Ah, wait a minute!”
Thankfully, Seung-yeon ran out of the house and returned with a ukulele.
“We don’t have a guitar, but we have this!”
“Yay!”
“Ah, should I tune it for you?”
“It’s okay!”
Eun-ji smiled, taking the ukulele, no longer teary-eyed.
She strummed the strings for a moment, then started playing the perfectly tuned ukulele.
Eun-ji’s playing was pleasant, even though it was improvised.
At first, it was.
Na-nan-neun-neu-ra-deu-reun-deu-ra-ra
After a while of listening to Eun-ji’s humming, her playing and singing continued.
The others, who had initially been enjoying the music, gradually lost interest and focused on the barbecue after she played more than seven songs.
Eun-ji’s performance continued endlessly.
Even after the barbecue was over and everything was cleaned up.
By this point, she seemed to be intoxicated by the music, not the alcohol.
“Lee Eun-ji, let’s go to bed.”
“Neun-neun-na-na-ra.”
“Hey, go to bed.”
“Nan-na-reu-reu-ra-ra.”
“Give it to me. Damn it. Senior, take the ukulele away from her!”
“Neu-ra-ra-ra-ra~”
The CEO and PD Kim Cheol-soo, perhaps feeling their age, had gone inside earlier.
Then, the Toxin members, Hyun-woo, Yeong-hee, and even Seul-gi joined in the chaos, trying to take the ukulele away from Eun-ji.
She was surprisingly good at dodging them, running around and singing like a Disney princess.
The music, initially pleasant, started to sound like mocking laughter as they got increasingly frustrated.
The barbecue had ended around 11 pm.
“Huff, huff, damn it.”
“My guitar…”
It was 2 AM when they finally managed to take the ukulele away from Eun-ji.
I wondered if this was how she felt when I was drunk.
I wanted to just leave her there, but she was my sister.
I sighed deeply after Seul-gi dragged Eun-ji into the other building.
Everyone seemed exhausted; most of them, except for Ji Ye-chan, had collapsed on the living room floor after pushing the tables aside.
I placed the ukulele on the table and was about to go upstairs to bed when…
I had a bad feeling and gave the ukulele to Yeong-hee.
“I apologize for last night.”
“Don’t worry about it. It was fun.”
The next day.
Eun-ji, seemingly having blacked out like I did before, apologized to the seniors.
The seniors said it was okay, but they seemed traumatized.
When Seo Seung-yeon brought out the ukulele, which he hadn’t put away yet, everyone flinched and gave him a look, telling him to put it away.
[LOL]
[Lol Disney lol]
When I first told the story…
The chat was filled with “LOL,” especially at the part where Eun-ji wouldn’t stop playing.
[What song was she playing?]
[I want to hear it!]
[Play it for us!]
[Sing for us!]
[Sing!]
[I want to hear it!]
Many people requested her to play the song.
“Do you remember it?”
“I do.”
At Eun-ji’s reply, the staff members brought a guitar from somewhere.
“Are you really going to play it?”
The staff members gave us a thumbs-up and made a large ‘O’ sign with their arms.
~♪
Eun-ji, realizing the guitar wasn’t tuned, strummed the strings and quickly tuned it, just like she did with the ukulele.
[♥So cool!!!!]
[♥♥Love it ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ]
[Ji-ji is awesome ㅠㅠㅠ]
[Why is tuning without a tuner so attractive? ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ]
Even that simple act seemed to impress her fans.
After tuning, she started playing, a more complex and skillful performance than with the ukulele.
Neun-neun-na-na-ra-ra
Then, Toxin and Eun-ho looked away, the familiar melody triggering their trauma from that night.
Thankfully, unlike at the pension, it didn’t last long.
As Eun-ji handed the guitar back to the staff, Toxin and Eun-ho sighed in relief.
Hyun-woo, watching from behind the camera, did the same.
The only one who seemed disappointed was Seul-gi, Eun-ji’s fan.
Growl.
Rumble.
Growl.
After Eun-ji’s performance…
Eun-ji’s stomach growled first, followed by Seo Seung-yeon’s.
Just as they were trying to ignore it…
Eun-ji’s stomach growled again, louder this time, and the studio burst into laughter.
[Ji-ji is hungry ㅠㅠㅠㅠ]
[Lol there’s a frog in Eun-ji’s stomach lol]
[Feed Ji-ji ㅠㅠㅠ]
[She keeps growling lol]
If it were a regular TV broadcast, I would have told them to endure it…
But I didn’t think it would be a good look for Eun-ji to be starving on camera.
But they weren’t here to watch us eat…
Or were they?
Maybe it would be okay?
We had already done the tteokbokki cooking segment.
There were shows where they interviewed people while cooking, so why not us?
A cooking/interview corner would be nice.
I was trying to justify it to myself.
Growl.
Just then, my stomach also growled.
“Should we eat?”
I asked, forcing a bright smile, looking at the camera.
“Would our E% and Potion-nim like to join us for a meal?”
And so it began.
Toxin, as I said before, were senior artists who seemed like they only ate catered food.
And now…
They were wearing sanitary masks to prevent their saliva from getting on the food…
…and rolling kimbap, wearing mismatched, colorful aprons they had hurriedly bought.
[I can’t believe I’m seeing Toxin wearing red kimchi aprons and floral aprons, rolling kimbap lol]
[Even Ye-chan oppa’s kimbap is pretty…]
[Eun-ho is pretty too]
[What is that?]
[Is someone making miniature kimbap?]
[Is our Tae-hyun’s kimbap even bite-sized?]
[It’s tiny]
[Seung-yeon’s kimbap is about to explode lol]
[Eun-ji’s isn’t much better]
[Ah lol]
[Ji-ji lol]
[It’s bursting at the seams lol]
The kimbap they made reflected their personalities. Except for Tae-hyun, they each made five rolls.
Tae-hyun, for some reason, made about twenty thin rolls, each barely bigger than his thumb.
It seemed like enough to share with the staff, so it was fine.
The various kimbap rolls were placed on plates, and then piled up on a platter like a mountain.
Tae-hyun’s ridiculously thin kimbap rolls were too difficult to cut, so we just left them whole.
Tae-hyun, seemingly preferring it that way, immediately reached for his kimbap.
The others were holding Eun-ji’s generously filled kimbap and the ones Ye-chan and I made.
Eun-ji’s kimbap was so big that it was difficult to eat in one bite.
Even Oh Hyun, who was trying to be careful, couldn’t prevent the filling from spilling out.
Song-min and Seung-yeon burst out laughing at the sight.
The chat was filled with “LOL” at their laughter.
‘Should I try this?’
I picked up one of Tae-hyun’s kimbap rolls.
It had a single, simple filling, a tiny amount of rice, and seaweed.
That was it.
And it happened to have burdock root, which I didn’t like.
I was about to offer it to Eun-ji when…
“Hey.”
“What.”
I froze, seeing Eun-ji’s puffed-out cheeks, like a hamster.
She had already stuffed her mouth with her giant kimbap roll, which no one else could handle.
