After Being Entangled by Gloomy Male Ghosts 27

Chapter 27

Fu Xia sat on the edge of the bed, a headache building.

Those two had locked her in the room and left. Before leaving, Xie Rin had even threatened her with a smile, saying there were others in the castle, and he couldn’t guarantee what would happen if she went out rashly.

She was in an unfamiliar place, the door was locked, and the chances of falling to her death trying to climb out the window were high.

Being born into a broken family was bad enough. But in reality, life could always get worse.

Fu Xia wiped her face.

Her heart rate gradually slowed. A slight stinging sensation came from her injured knee. She rummaged through the room and, to her surprise, actually found a first-aid kit in a cabinet.

Good news: none of the emergency supplies were expired.

She quickly disinfected and bandaged her knee again, covering it with a simple, breathable gauze. Then she started digging through the kit. There were no sharp weapons like scalpels, only an unopened syringe that had some potential.

Would injecting a vampire with a syringe full of medical alcohol work?

After a moment of silence, she closed the kit. Smashing a vase and using a large shard as a weapon would be better.

No sooner said than done. Fu Xia fiddled for a bit, wrapped a piece of gauze around the shard several times, leaving a part to grip, and stuffed it under her pillow.

It was still dark outside; there were at least three or four hours until dawn. She needed to think about what to do.

Vampires.

As the name implied, they fed on blood. Everything that had happened since the start of the school year now made sense. The only thing she couldn’t understand was why this group was swarming around her. Was it because her blood had a particularly alluring scent? Or did they have some other motive for approaching her?

Whatever it is, I don’t want to end up as a human jerky…!

Just as she finished the thought, the door was unlocked from the outside.

She instinctively shuffled toward the window, away from the door, and watched the person outside warily.

The young man at the door was pressing a hand to the side of his neck. When he tilted his head toward her, his high ponytail swayed with the movement.

Bad news: only Xie Rin had returned. Yan Zhu was nowhere to be seen. As a bodyguard, Yan Zhu was much more stable than Xie Rin, but it was obvious that Xie Rin wouldn’t share his prey.

Even through the stealth suit, the blood had soaked through, leaving dark, obvious stains.

“Honestly, I got blood all over me,” the young man muttered as he closed the door and stepped inside, stripping off his clothes. It looked like he’d just been on a killing spree.

Fu Xia watched him cautiously, but Xie Rin clearly enjoyed her gaze.

Blue veins were faintly visible beneath his cold, pale skin—not a healthy complexion. But perhaps due to his species’ natural gifts, his body was still like a meticulously carved work of art. He slowly unzipped the stealth suit, peeling it off like an onion and revealing himself completely to her.

Fu Xia’s gaze stopped on his chest.

…No chest binder. Completely flat.

Sensing where her eyes had landed, Xie Rin smiled.

It was obvious. What she had dreamed might not have been fake after all. The thing that had been pressing against her lower back the day he’d stormed off wasn’t a toy; it was the real deal.

“It seems you were a good girl and listened to me this time, sweetie…” The young man’s eyes curved into a bewitching smile. “So, what kind of reward should I give you?”

“…Why were you cross-dressing to get into a girls’ dorm?” Fu Xia asked. My roommate is a Futanari moe boy. I’m calling the police.

His eyes curved. “How else was I supposed to get close to you, sweetie? Besides, you agreed to participate in my project, and… I have been paying you well, haven’t I?”

With that, Xie Rin stepped toward her. He quickly reached her, his hands clasped behind his back as he leaned down to meet her gaze. He forcefully threaded his fingers through hers, forcing them into an intertwined clasp, and then pulled her onto the bed.

Even though she was fully clothed, he pressed most of his weight on top of her, the chill of his vampiric body seeping into her.

Xie Rin tried to kiss her, but she was being crushed and couldn’t breathe. In her struggle, her hand found the weapon she had prepared.

She gripped the shard and stabbed at his heart. “Let go!”

Unexpectedly, he didn’t dodge. He looked down at the porcelain shard embedded in his chest. Blood dripped down, staining her clothes. The excited smile on his face gradually faded. This guy was a master at changing his expression.

Alarm bells blared in her head. Her captured hand was finally free. She scrambled up, practically crawling backward on all fours.

Silently, Xie Rin pulled the shard from his chest. He stared at it blankly for a few seconds before tossing it to the floor.

Then, the beautiful young man lifted his gaze.

He moved so fast she couldn’t react. He grabbed her by the ankle and dragged her back, and before she could struggle, he cupped the back of her head.

“…Ugh?”

He pressed her face against his chest. The blindingly white skin was right in front of her. Blood from the wound stained her lips, and she clamped her mouth shut to avoid swallowing any of it.

“Open your mouth, sweetie,” his voice had a crazed edge to it, so cold it made her want to recoil. “My blood is very precious… we can’t let it go to waste.”

Fuck, he’s lost it.

He pried her mouth open and forced a mouthful of his blood on her.

“Why are you fighting me like this, when you just helped Pei Wang?” he asked, pressing her closer while gently stroking her back. “Don’t tell me… you like him, do you, sweetie?”

The last few words were practically squeezed through his teeth.

“Cough, cough… I… Hiss…!”

Are there any side effects to drinking non-human blood?

She didn’t know. All she could do was try not to swallow. Her mouth was filled with the taste of blood.

—It seemed there wasn’t much difference in taste between vampire blood and human blood.

Xie Rin’s face drew closer. He opened his mouth, his pale, thin lips parting as if to show off his sharp fangs.

“You’re not allowed to like him. You’re mine, sweetie.”

His fingertips traced a line from her face down her neck, stopping over her heart. He gave her a bloody little smile. “From body to soul… you can only belong to me.”

Without warning, he pulled her into a tight embrace, one hand wrapping around her back to cup her cheek, forcing her to expose the vulnerable column of her neck.

Fu Xia pressed her hands against his abs, her eyes wide as she stared at the two pairs of sharp fangs. Her mind was screaming.

…If those pierce my flesh, they’ll definitely leave huge holes!

But her meager strength was no match for him. When he bit down, even though she had prepared herself, the sudden pain almost brought tears to her eyes.

“I’ve wanted to do this for a long time,” Xie Rin said, almost greedily licking her wound, eagerly drinking the blood that welled up. “Do you have any idea how delicious you taste, sweetie?”

Fu Xia couldn’t answer. She was starting to feel dizzy, her body light as if she were walking on clouds. An indescribable feeling of pleasure swept through her brain, making her want to press his head down and make him hold her even tighter.

“Ah… I forgot that drinking blood has this effect,” Xie Rin said, his voice growing softer.

His licking slowed, and the dazed Fu Xia turned her head to look at him, noticing his expression was a little vacant.

The next second, he collapsed.

Fu Xia: “?”
