Chapter 18 p3
The next second, the door opened.
But behind the opened door was only a girl, wearing a blue down jacket suit and a hat, revealing an extremely delicate and beautiful face. Behind her, a dog as high as her knees was staring at them fiercely. It didn’t bark, but its appearance was as if it could come over and tear a piece of flesh from them at any moment, extremely fierce.
“Ah, you stinking slut—” Tang Fang immediately pounced.
But Ji Yang was not one to stand and be beaten. The moment she pounced, she raised her foot and kicked. With a “thump,” Tang Fang was kicked a meter away and fell onto the group of people behind her, who then helped her up.
Her sister-in-law screamed and hid at the very back, not daring to get close.
Then, Ji Yang walked out, the Tang sword in her hand glinting with a cold light as it pointed directly at them. Seeing the crowd take two steps back in fear, she said coldly, “I don’t know the Xue Lian you’re talking about. Someone did come to pry my door last night, but…” she smiled, “I spent hundreds of thousands to modify this door. They couldn’t pry it open and left.”
“What? Not here?!” The crowd was surprised.
Some people stared at her door, quite regretfully.
Tang Fang had just recovered and immediately shook her head. “I don’t believe you! Let Xue Lian out! You’ll be punished for stealing someone else’s husband…”
Ji Yang frowned in disgust. “Are you deaf?! Just those two pieces of trash who pry open a single girl’s door, do you think I’d be interested in them? I’m not a garbage recycling station!”
Tang Fang was immediately ashamed and angry, and said sternly, “Then where could my husband and brother have gone if they didn’t come back all night? You said they pried your door, so you must have been the last one to see them. Tell me, where are they? Did you hide them in your house?! I want to see!”
As she spoke, she got carried away and was about to rush over.
However, as she got close to Ji Yang and caught a glimpse of the blade, she stopped in her tracks and turned to cry to the people behind her, “Look, this person is obviously suspicious. She won’t even let me in to see. My husband and brother must be hidden by her. Her house probably has the supplies my husband brought. Please, for the sake of us orphans and widows, do something. Without a man, how can the three children in my family live…”
At first, the crowd didn’t intend to interfere.
But when they heard the latter words, someone was immediately tempted. Their feet couldn’t help but move forward, but they were afraid of her knife, so their steps were extremely small.
Qiao Huijun’s eyes sparkled, and he also put on a smile. “Miss Ji, what she said makes sense. Why don’t you let us in to have a look? We promise not to do anything.”
“Right, right!”
“If you’re not guilty, then open the door and let us all see if her husband is in your house!”
Tang Fang’s sister-in-law also came forward with her three children at this time, crying weakly, “Miss Ji, just let us go in and look for them to put our minds at ease. We are orphans and widows. Without a man, we really can’t live!”
With her acting like this, the few men who were clamoring to go in became even louder. “Why are you so stubborn, girl? Do you think we’ll bully you?!”
“Just a look is fine. If you don’t let us look, there must be something wrong!”
Zhu Mandao was also in the crowd, shouting along, looking like he wouldn’t give up until he achieved his goal.
Tang Fang covered her face, a malicious smile appearing. A little girl in her twenties dared to shout at her? She had used this trick to make countless young girls admit their mistakes.
Now, her family’s supplies were all gone. What did she have to be arrogant about?
The Li family was hiding behind their door, hearing everything clearly. They were terrified and wanted to go out and help persuade, but they didn’t dare, and they also had Ji Yang’s instructions.
Ji Yang, who was being besieged by the crowd, was not in a hurry. She waited until they had been talking for a while and had finally quieted down a bit, exchanging glances and forming groups to come forward.
She seemed to take a step back in panic.
Zhu Mandao was excited. He secretly thought that Ji Yang was really just putting on a show, holding a knife to scare people. Now that there were many people, wasn’t she scared?
However, he didn’t dare to go forward either. Instead, he suddenly pushed the man next to him. The man was caught off guard and pounced towards Ji Yang.
If she were to be pounced on, she would immediately lose the initiative. Her own door would be wide open, and she could only let others in and out.
“Wow!” The crowd roared, as if jeering, not thinking at all that this was too dangerous for a young girl.
“Ah—” The man who was about to pounce on Ji Yang suddenly fell to the other side. Then, a cold light flashed and disappeared in an instant.
Zhu Mandao, who was hiding behind the man and planning to be the first to rush in and grab things, only felt a coldness in his stomach, as if something cold had been inserted and then quickly pulled out. In that moment, a sharp pain hit him, and his nose was filled with the smell of blood.
“Murder, murder!!!”
“Help—”
The few people who had just lost their reason all came to their senses and turned to flee in terror.
Qiao Huijun was also hiding behind and didn’t dare to be in the front. Who would have thought that Ji Yang would really make a move, and that she would stab someone in the stomach as soon as she did? He was so scared that his soul flew away, and he was the first to run out.
She really dared to do it!
Tang Fang was also stunned. Her malicious arrogance directly turned into fear. For a moment, her legs couldn’t even move. She shouted, “Sister-in-law, help me! Sister-in-law—”
She saw her sister-in-law had already screamed and run downstairs.
The three children were even more at a loss, standing there and crying.
Tang Fang was so angry that she burst out cursing, “You useless thing! My brother shouldn’t have married you in the first place…”
—
Because Tang Fang spoke, Ji Yang also looked over.
Tang Fang noticed and immediately felt a chill all over her body. She shouted in a hoarse voice, bluffing, “Don’t come over! It’s against the law to kill people! Be careful, you’ll go to jail!!!”
Ji Yang smiled. “I have a video. You were the ones who besieged me first. I acted in self-defense. It’s called justifiable self-defense.”
Tang Fang didn’t understand the law and was stunned for a moment. Looking at this girl again, she didn’t feel at all that she was young and thin-skinned and easy to bully, especially with the blood on her knife. She could still smile. This was too scary, wasn’t it?!
She shivered. “I was wrong, I was wrong! Please, spare me. My husband and brother definitely have nothing to do with you. I will never trouble you again in the future…”
Ji Yang wanted to laugh even more. She got closer to her. Tang Fang didn’t dare to move. With the background noise of the children crying, Ji Yang’s voice was particularly low, yet particularly clear. “Actually, you guessed right. Your husband and brother are in the snow under the corridor window. I threw them down myself last night~”
Tang Fang: !
She stared at the girl in front of her in horror, completely speechless.
She had never thought that her husband and brother, two strong young men, would die?
She would rather they were hiding in some woman’s bed!
With their deaths, the remaining five of them would truly become orphans and widows, to be bullied by others!
Seeing that she had heard, Ji Yang nodded in satisfaction. Without another word, she raised her foot and kicked her down. The moment Tang Fang fell, she stepped on her leg bone.
“Crack.”
A faint sound was heard.
“Ah!” Tang Fang’s shrill scream directly interrupted the helpless crying of the three children.
A murderous intent flashed in Ji Yang’s eyes. Unfortunately, it was broad daylight, and she couldn’t be so arrogant. Since that was the case, she would cut off her means of survival.
Tang Fang had tried to push her to her death, so she would not show mercy either. Otherwise, she would only leave behind a scourge.
Then, Ji Yang shouted to the corridor, “Your husband and brother robbed so many supplies from others, and now you have the nerve to covet the little bit in my house?! How can you be so greedy! Get lost, or I’ll beat you every time I see you!”
After she finished speaking, she heard a commotion downstairs. It seemed that the group of people had heard.
She went into the house satisfied, without another glance at Tang Fang and the three children.
After closing the door, Tang Fang, covered in a cold sweat, clutched her leg. After the sharp pain, she realized what had happened. She didn’t care about anything else, picked up her own son, and, ignoring the other two children, scrambled downstairs.
No, no!
This woman is too ruthless. She killed my husband and brother, and she didn’t forget to set them up. Now, they will definitely be targeting my family.
And my family doesn’t have a young and strong man.
Especially since these supplies were not obtained through proper means.
But without supplies, how can she survive?!
However, Tang Fang hadn’t even reached the sixth floor when she heard the sound of a door being smashed. She immediately screamed, “You’re not allowed to go in! You’re not!”
“Bang—” The door broke.
A man cursed, “Your husband and brother should have known they would be robbed back when they were robbing others! You think you can stop us just by saying so? Who the hell do you think you are!”
“Hey, leave some for me!”
“Oh, there are canned meat. This is good stuff!”
“I like ham sausages, mine, mine!”
By the time Tang Fang, on the verge of collapse, struggled back home, she was greeted by a mess of supplies and her sister-in-law, who was hiding in a corner, crying.
The little bit of rice that her own family originally had was gone!
Although Tang Fang had already expected it, seeing it in person, her vision still went black, and she fell to the ground, unconscious.
The weak sister-in-law’s crying stopped. She looked at her fallen figure, hesitated for a moment, and then ran out to call for help. “Help! My sister-in-law has fainted! Help—”
The person across the hall had just finished robbing and was feeling guilty. When he heard the knock on the door, he was about to curse, but when he opened the door, the woman crashed into his arms. He was immediately at a loss for dirty words and coughed lightly. “Where is she? I’ll go take a look?”
***
Upstairs, on the seventh floor
There was also a person lying on the ground.
Originally, Zhu Mandao had been clutching his wound and following the crowd downstairs in terror.
He stumbled all the way, and when he finally reached his own door, he felt cold all over. He didn’t even have the strength to take out his key to open the door. The key fell to the ground with a “clatter,” and he also collapsed.
So cold!
So much regret.
If only I had known, I would have stayed at home to catch up on sleep. Why did I have to join in the fun?
In the end, I even lost my life!
