The Siblings Do Business Together 150

Siblings Work in Business (150)

After a hearty meal and a good rest…

Eun-ho and Eun-ji reluctantly agreed to try evening fishing at CEO Park’s suggestion.

“Oh, oh! I-It’s, caught! Did I just, feel a tug? Is this what they call, the thrill of fishing?!”

“Hahaha, yes. Are you finally interested?”

“Wow, amazing.”

Although she lost the fish, Eun-ji seemed captivated by the experience.

Meanwhile, Eun-ho, not having caught anything, quickly lost interest and went back inside the container.

After a while…

“CEO.”

“Yes, Eun-ho? What is it?”

Eun-ho, his hair messy from sleep, poked his head out of the container and asked,

“Can we eat the samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup)?”

“Yeah, go ahead. I bought it for you.”

“Oh! Me too! I want some!”

Eun-ji, who had been fishing with CEO Park, jumped up at the mention of samgyetang.

Hyun-woo and Eun-ji sat at the makeshift table, with Eun-ho and CEO Park across from them, diagonally opposite each other, just in case. I thought they wouldn’t fight anymore, but…

“Lee Eun-ho.”

Eun-ji called.

“Give me some of your chicken.”

“No.”

“Yours is bigger!”

“It’s mine. You should have taken it first.”

I hadn’t realized the unevenly torn chicken leg would be a problem.

CEO Park sighed and looked at Hyun-woo, who was looking at them with a worried expression.

“…Put them down, both of you.”

“Huh?”

“But…”

“Hyun-woo and I will eat the legs, so give them to us.”

“That’s not fair!”

“…”

Eun-ho and Eun-ji pouted, looking displeased.

“Give them to us. You shouldn’t fight if you want to eat.”

Eun-ho and Eun-ji reluctantly placed the chicken legs in front of CEO Park.

CEO Park gave the meatier leg to Hyun-woo and took the other one.

Hyun-woo, avoiding their gazes, continued eating, while Eun-ho and Eun-ji, deprived of the legs, devoured the rest of the chicken and even the glutinous rice.

Their appetite was so great that CEO Park wondered if these were the same kids who used to starve themselves for work.

The chicken was so tender that the bones practically melted in their mouths, having been cooked in a pressure cooker. They even ate the bones. Their bowls were so clean that it looked like they had already done the dishes, if you hadn’t seen them eat.

Most of their activities that day were filmed.

After editing by CEO Park and a staff member, the long video was uploaded to YouTube, split into two parts: ‘Nostalgic Games’ and ‘Late-Night Samgyetang Mukbang.’

[My personal highlights:

The ‘Late-Night Samgyetang Mukbang’ was also well-received. The ‘Nostalgic Games’ video, however, went viral, even attracting viewers who weren’t E-UNG fans. The comment section was filled with “LOL” at Eun-ho and Eun-ji’s serious gaming. Although some E-FAN members started viewing CEO Park negatively… the overall atmosphere in the fandom improved after the videos were uploaded.

However, Eun-ho and Eun-ji, the main culprits of the workaholism, weren’t so easily cured.

The day after they returned home…

…they both slept the entire day. They seemed to have finally relaxed, now that they were back in the comfort of their own home.

The problem was that after that day, they returned to their usual all-nighters.

However, perhaps because they enjoyed the fishing trip, despite the rough start, both Eun-ho and Eun-ji seemed to agree on taking a ‘break’ after their busy schedule ended.

“Since it’s summer…”

“The beach?”

“The beach sounds good. We went to the mountains last time.”

They discussed their next vacation destination.

Just as CEO Park was deciding between the west coast and the east coast…

Eun-ji exclaimed excitedly,

“Bikini!”

“…?”

Eun-ho stared at Eun-ji, his eyes wide.

“You’re not… actually going to wear one, are you?”

“I am.”

“Seriously?”

“What? Why are you being a jerk? It’s my choice!”

“No, it’s not that I care what you wear, but please don’t terrorize my eyes. It’s disgusting.”

Eun-ho covered his eyes with his hand.

Eun-ji slapped his hand away and retorted,

“It’s better than Lee Eun-ho wearing a Speedo.”

“No, it’s not. I look better in a Speedo than you in a bikini.”

“What?! That’s disgusting, you perv.”

“I said ‘disgusting’ first. And if you wear a bikini, I’m wearing a Speedo.”

“Are you crazy?”

“Then don’t wear it! I don’t want to see that either. I don’t want to be subjected to eye torture on my vacation.”

“Fine, wear it, wear your damn Speedo! Wear it! I dare you!”

Their childish argument was far from a mature, adult conversation.

CEO Park, watching them with an exasperated expression, thought,

‘You two…’

I don’t want to see either. So…

‘Should we just go fishing on a boat…?’

It was still the ocean.

A Song for Others

“Hey, Lee Eun-ho!”

“What!”

“I told you to put this away!”

“You do it! You’re stronger than me!”

“Then you move the barbecue grill, damn it!”

Hwa-rang looked up at the clear, sunny sky while everyone else was busy.

“Eun-ji, watch your language!”

Hwa-rang flinched at CEO Park’s sudden outburst.

“But that rockfish bastard is annoying me!”

“Seriously…”

CEO Park shook his head, as if he didn’t know where to even begin.

R-Rockfish…?

Annoying…?

As Hwa-rang stared at Eun-ji with a shocked expression, their eyes met. Eun-ji smiled brightly at Hwa-rang and gave her a thumbs up, as if she hadn’t just cursed. Hwa-rang instinctively mimicked the gesture, although she had no idea what it meant. She sighed deeply, confused by the situation. Why am I even here…?

It started the day after she gave them the recordings, when she visited NRY Entertainment again.

“This might sound harsh, but…”

“Ah…”

“I’m sorry, but we can’t accept you as a member of NRY Entertainment at this time, Hwa-rang-ssi.”

She had expected this, so she was okay.

Even if it seemed stubborn, she was determined to persevere.

“But there is an opportunity, if you want it, Hwa-rang-ssi.”

“What do I have to do?”

“Join us on our trip to the ocean.”

“Yes. I’m sorry?”

What did I just hear?

Hwa-rang looked up, and CEO Park’s expression was surprisingly bright for someone rejecting her.

“A tr-trip to the… ocean?”

“Yes. Eun-ho and Eun-ji’s vacation. We’re planning a trip to the ocean for their break.”

CEO Park explained,

“Our artists write and compose all their songs.”

“Ah… you mean, they write and compose all their songs themselves?”

“Yes. They have a studio on the first floor of their house, and Eun-ji does all the arranging too.”

She hadn’t known that, having only seen their performances.

She had thought they only made ‘DUO’ themselves.

They wrote all their songs?

“Hwa-rang-ssi.”

“Yes.”

“Get a song from Eun-ji, and lyrics from Eun-ho.”

“…Yes?”

“If you get a song from them…”

Hwa-rang looked up at the summer sky.

「“We’ll forget about your past with TaKa Entertainment and give you a proper debut as an artist of NRY.”」

The word “debut” made her heart pound.

But the condition seemed impossible. How…?

“Senior, if you give me a song, I can debut here. Please.”

…She imagined saying that.

But she could already picture their cold, dismissive reactions.

It was difficult to even approach them respectfully; this trip was supposed to be their vacation.

She was clearly an uninvited guest, an intruder.

“Wow…”

A salty sea breeze brushed past her.

Despite her complicated thoughts, the scenery was stunning.

A small hill, or perhaps a forest, beside the pension, and the beach, just a short walk away.

This wasn’t CEO Park’s pension, but a friend’s vacation home they had rented for a day.

Hwa-rang tried to help carry the luggage, wanting to be useful, since she was an uninvited guest.

“Unnie, why don’t you carry that one instead?”

“This one is a bit heavy, I’ll take it. Hwa-rang-ssi, you can carry something else.”

But Eun-ji and Eun-ho always seemed to appear out of nowhere and take the heavy boxes from her hands.

Her first plan had failed.

She had planned to ask them, “Can you write a song for me?”, jokingly, while they were carrying the luggage, hoping they’d say “Thank you.”

But she had only carried the lightest items, like cooking utensils and dishes.

She was just being a burden…

“Ugh, we’re finally done.”

Just then…

Eun-ji, seemingly having finished carrying the luggage, was sitting on a bench in the yard, her eyes closed, her back against the backrest.

‘Ah!’

Hwa-rang quickly folded a cardboard box and ran towards Eun-ji, holding it above her head.

“You’ve worked hard, Senior!”

Eun-ji’s face, shielded from the sun, was suddenly in the shade.

“Haha, what? Are you giving me shade?”

“Yes, you looked hot.”

Eun-ji opened her eyes slightly and made eye contact with Hwa-rang, who was looking at her intently. Then, Eun-ji smiled and said,

“Thanks.”

“You’re welcome. I wanted to help somehow.”

Her desire to help was genuine. But internally… a small monkey was screaming excitedly.
