The Siblings Do Business Together 184

Siblings Working in Business (184)

The moment they opened the frosted glass door to the bride’s waiting room…

“Wow…”

Eun-ji covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes fixed on PD Kim.

Kim Cheol-soo, the bride of the day, was sitting on a white chair that looked as soft and cozy as a bird’s nest, wearing a mermaid wedding dress with lace sleeves embroidered with butterflies.

“You’re here?”

“Oh my god… PD-nim, you’re so beautiful.”

“Hahaha, Eun-ji, why are you crying?”

Overcome with emotion, Eun-ji burst into tears the moment she saw PD Kim.

“You two look very handsome today as well.”

When Cheol-soo smiled, Eun-ji wiped her tear-streaked makeup with her long nails and smiled back.

Eun-ho and Eun-ji were both wearing matching navy suits for their congratulatory song performance.

Eun-ho always seemed composed, but today, perhaps because his hair was neatly styled back, he had an even colder aura than usual.

Eun-ji’s hair was simply tied back at the crown of her head, adorned with a black rose hairpin matching her suit.

But her hair was so long that…

It reached past her shoulder blades.

The perfectly straight ponytail was the result of Seul-gi spending hours taming Eun-ji’s naturally wavy hair since early morning.

After the brief emotional outburst, Eun-ho and Eun-ji stood on either side of Kim Cheol-soo for photos.

[Congratulations on your wedding.]

[Wishing you both a long and happy life together! PD-nim, you’re so beautiful, like a fairy!!! ㅠㅠ]

Eun-ho and Eun-ji exchanged brief greetings with Cheol-soo and signed the guestbook.

Eun-ji also grabbed a cup of colorful flower petals for the guests to shower the bride and groom with during their procession.

Just then, as if it was time for the guests to arrive, the door to the waiting room opened, and a group of women entered.

“Oh my! Cheol-soo, you’re so beautiful!”

The quiet waiting room instantly became bustling.

They seemed to be PD Kim’s acquaintances, and she was busy thanking them for their congratulations.

Eun-ho and Eun-ji excused themselves with a nod, indicating they would wait outside.

As they left the waiting room…

“Eun-ho, Eun-ji.”

They turned their heads at the familiar voice and saw Ji Ye-chan, dressed in a neat gray suit, seemingly having just finished greeting CEO Park.

Next to him was Yeong-hee, whose shirt buttons looked like they were about to burst.

“Are there a lot of people inside?”

“Yes. A bunch of her acquaintances came in, so we’ll go back in after they leave.”

“Oh, I should do that too.”

Ji Ye-chan, while talking to Eun-ho, noticed Eun-ji and his eyes widened.

“Wow, Eun-ji, you look great today.”

“I am quite stylish. Hahahaha.”

Eun-ho shook his head at the self-praising Eun-ji.

“Did you send the song already?”

“Hyun-woo hyung took the USB as soon as we arrived, saying he’d deliver it.”

“I see.”

“Haven’t the other Sunbaenims arrived yet?”

“They all came together, but they’re teasing Team Leader right now…”

Ji Ye-chan gestured towards the entrance where CEO Park was greeting guests.

“Wow, Team Leader actually looks like a groom when he’s dressed up.”

“Looks like a groom, you say.”

“Well, I mean, he’s supposed to be the father of the bride, but he’s the groom, so, ow! Hahaha.”

As Eun-ho craned his neck to look, CEO Park happened to be lightly hitting Joo Song-min on the head for being playful.

Time flew by, and the ceremony began.

Kim In-hyeok from the Cloud Dance Team was the emcee.

As the mothers of the bride and groom entered and the lighting of the candles began in a rather formal atmosphere…

“Are you really the mothers of children in their 30s and 40s? You both look so young…”

Mrs. Shim Sun-ja and Cheol-soo’s mother, Mrs. Yoon Deok-hee, giggled like girls at Kim In-hyeok’s attempt to lighten the mood.

“Please take good care of my daughter.”

“What’s there to take care of? Hehe, we should be thanking you for allowing your beautiful and precious daughter to marry our old son.”

Thanks to this, the atmosphere became much more relaxed and heartwarming as Sun-ja and Deok-hee held hands and lit the candles together.

“The CEO of NRY Entertainment, who hit the jackpot with his marriage! Groom, Park Chang-seok, please enter!”

“Hahaha, thank you!”

The moment In-hyeok announced the groom’s entrance…

Chang-seok, unable to hide his smile at the unfamiliar term ‘groom,’ beamed, his teeth showing, as he walked down the aisle, illuminated by sparkling lights.

He kept looking from side to side, bowing deeply to the guests.

“Next, the star of today, the bride, Kim Cheol-soo, please enter!”

Although brides usually walked down the aisle with their fathers, Cheol-soo stood alone at the entrance.

Although some friends and elders offered to walk with her, she refused them all.

「“My mom was both my mom and dad all my life.”」

「“I don’t want to put someone in her place just to look good to others.”」

For that reason, Cheol-soo chose to walk alone.

But she looked even more elegant and beautiful because she was alone.

Sniff… hic, sniff.”

“Why are you crying?”

“No, but PD-nim is so cool, and also, sniff, beautiful, and, hic, gorgeous, and, sob…”

“Hey, give me your hand.”

Sniff, why?”

Eun-ji, while sniffling, extended her hand.

Eun-ho gave her a piece of imported chocolate.

“Eat this and be quiet.”

“Haha, when did you even get this?”

“I got it beforehand, knowing you’d be a crybaby.”

“Haha.”

The chocolate Eun-ho gave her was one of the snacks provided in the bride’s waiting room.

Eun-ji popped the chocolate into her mouth and wiped her teary eyes.

Her makeup, done at the shop, was already half gone from her tears.

But perhaps because of the sweetness in her mouth, Eun-ji smiled and continued watching the ceremony.

As Eun-ji stopped crying, it was now Cheol-soo’s mother, Mrs. Yoon Deok-hee’s, turn to tear up, dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief.

Her tears weren’t from sadness, but from pride and joy, seeing her confident daughter looking so beautiful and radiant today.

Accompanied by beautiful piano music and assisted by a helper, Cheol-soo walked down the aisle.

Her long dress and veil trailed behind her, making a pleasant rustling sound.

She looked every bit the star of the show.

Pfft.

Around the middle of the aisle…

Cheol-soo burst out laughing when she saw Chang-seok kneeling on one knee, extending his hand.

Cheol-soo’s hand, clad in a white lace glove, rested on Chang-seok’s.

Chang-seok looked up, his lips curled into a smile.

As if he would never let go.

He escorted Cheol-soo, hand in hand, to the altar.

“Before you officially begin your married life, we’ll have the reading of the wedding vows you wrote yourselves.”

Chang-seok and Cheol-soo chose to exchange vows instead of having an officiant.

The vows started ordinarily enough.

“I will be with you until our hair turns gray. I will love you.”

That was, until the second sentence.

“Even after your hair falls out and you become bald, I will be with you. I will love you.”

“Hahaha.”

Although Cheol-soo read her vows seriously, perhaps because of their content…

Laughter erupted throughout the hall.

“Although I’ve been mistaken for being ten years older than you by those brats, I will still be with you. I will love you.”

Eun-ho and Eun-ji couldn’t hold back their laughter at Chang-seok’s vows and joined the other guests.

“I will keep my promise to be Park Chang-seok’s dedicated PD and be with you. I will love you.”

“Although we’re rushing into marriage without a dating period, I will be with you with a grateful heart for the woman who approached me first. I will love you.”

More of Chang-seok and Cheol-soo’s unique vows followed.

The wedding hall, initially filled with laughter at the amusing vows, soon quieted down as more heartfelt words followed.

“We will embrace each other’s flaws, cherish and protect each other, and live as a loving couple.”

“Groom, Park Chang-seok.”

“Bride, Kim Cheol-soo.”

“To all of you who have come here today as witnesses to our union…”

“We sincerely thank you.”

“And we promise to live happily ever after as a couple worthy of your presence.”

“Thank you.”

“Thank you.”

Chang-seok and Cheol-soo bowed to the guests after finishing their vows.

Clap, clap, clap, clap.

One by one, more applause joined in, along with whistles, creating a wave of cheers.

Then, Chang-seok’s father, Cheong-ryong, stood at the altar and read the declaration of marriage.

“Ahem, on this day, September 1st, 2015, groom Park Chang-seok and bride Kim Cheol-soo, in the presence of their families and friends…”

Cheong-ryong paused, his lips pressed together, then finally spoke again,

“I solemnly declare them husband and wife. Park Chang-seok’s father, Park Cheong-ryong.”

After finishing the declaration, Cheong-ryong, his eyes wet with tears, nodded at his son, now over forty.

“Take good care of your precious wife. Your in-laws are overseas anyway, so don’t even think about visiting them.”

“Haha, Father.”

“Live well.”

Cheong-ryong stepped down from the altar, hugging Chang-seok tightly.

He then turned and bowed deeply to Mrs. Yoon Deok-hee, now his in-law.

Only then did Cheong-ryong return to his seat.

After Cheong-ryong left, Mrs. Yoon Deok-hee stood at the altar and offered words of wisdom to Chang-seok and Cheol-soo.

“I apologize to my in-laws, but I honestly didn’t like the groom at first. Because you’re such a lovely daughter, I felt that way initially.”

“Mom—”

“But seeing you standing here today, the most beautiful and happiest you’ve ever been, I finally approve of the groom.”

Chang-seok smiled quietly and bowed his head.

“Be happy, my daughter.”

“…Yeah. I’ll be happy. I will.”

Cheol-soo bit her lip, but seeing Mrs. Yoon Deok-hee’s tears, she started crying as well.

Another round of applause followed, and then it was time for the congratulatory song.

Eun-ho and Eun-ji, their makeup retouched, stood up from their seats.

They stood before Chang-seok and Cheol-soo and held the microphones.

“Eun-ji ‘again’ wrote a new song instead of choosing one from the hundreds on our cloud.”

CEO Park, knowing why the word ‘again’ was emphasized, burst into laughter and asked,

“How many songs?”

“Three out of six.”

“How long did it take?”

“I finished composing within two days, but there are some unfinished lyrics, so I might just improvise…”

Eun-ho replied calmly, his face pale with exhaustion.

The guests, understanding the situation, also chuckled.

“Thank you, Eun-ho.”

“You both have to be happy, since I worked so hard.”

“We will.”

Cheol-soo also smiled and thanked him, understanding the situation.

Just then…

Strum.

Eun-ji, with an acoustic guitar seemingly out of nowhere, slung it over her shoulder and quickly tuned it.

“This song is for CEO Park, who, before losing all his hair, was proposed to by the most wonderful woman in the world, and PD-nim, who chose the most dependable man in the world.”

“Haha.”

Chang-seok and Cheol-soo smiled and looked at each other.

Eun-ho looked at them with a warm smile.

“This song is dedicated to the two of you.”

As Eun-ho’s calm voice faded, a clear piano melody followed, like stardust flowing into the Milky Way.
