Her name is Fan An, a perfectly ordinary resident of Beika Town and an actress by profession.
(T/N: Her name, 犯安 (Fàn Ān), is a pun. 犯 (fàn) means “to commit a crime,” so her name sounds like “Criminal An, Suspect An.”)

Her main responsibility is appearing at various crime scenes, guest-starring as the classic red herring in the detectives’ “pick one of three suspects” lineup.

Detective Mouri: “Suspicious! You’re far too suspicious! The fact that you’re the culprit is written right in your name!”

Suspect An: “You get docked for bad puns.”

That’s just how it is for residents of Beika Town. Detective, victim, or suspect—you have to pick a role.

“Suspect An” has a much brighter future than “Victim An.” She’s quite content with that.

Her only complaint is, why do detectives get a fee for solving a case, but she never gets a consolation prize for being wrongfully arrested every single time?

An is a professional villain in film and television, playing both suspects and scapegoats so vividly that it’s impossible to tell fiction from reality.

As top actress Sharon Vineyard once praised, “She has the aura of someone who could escape the clutches of the law, no matter the circumstances.”

The other ‘Liqueurs’ are envious.
(T/N: A meta-joke. “酒” (jiǔ) means alcohol/liquor, referring to the codenamed members of the Black Organization.)

An, humbly: “You praise me too much. My experience comes from life.”

To hone her craft, she has immersed herself in society and taken on numerous part-time jobs.

For example: “Simple liaison work. 30,000 yen/day. Night shift. Basic knowledge of firearms required. Preference given to those who won’t be missed if they disappear.”

And: “Standard installation work. 50,000 yen/day. Must be unbothered by bright lights and loud noises. No heart conditions. Those who don’t know the meaning of justice are most welcome.”

Fan An, an ordinary passerby of Beika Town, ordinarily passing by a crime scene.

The blond, dark-skinned public security officer who brushes past her suddenly whips his head around: ???
